Twin Louisiana sinker cypress slabs were used to make these two bar height tables for the Danos Headquarters in Grey, LA. Steel/sinker cypress combination bases.

Solid sinker cypress credenza on combination sinker cypress and steel base. This piece is 14ft long with a solid sinker cypress casing. Each door is held flat with a walnut sliding dovetail. Dovetailed drawer boxes and custom cut steel pulls.

Book matched pecan slabs on a salvaged Louisiana cypress farm style base built using mortise and tenon joinery with walnut square pegs. A twist on the classic Acadian style farm tables so often seen in Louisiana.

The pecan slabs came from a tree removed on Perkins Rd. by Bluebonnet in Baton Rouge, LA.

Elm slab vanity top with book matched elm slab cabinet and matching elm stool. All three pieces were made from one slab of locally sourced elm salvaged from the Baton Rouge area.

17ft long, live edge, cedar slab table made from 4 cedar slabs all cut from one log. The massive top sits on three, 18″ diameter steel drums.

The cedar log was removed from the development site of the Danos Headquarters in Grey, LA. It was sent to our facility where it was processed, dried and then transformed into this table which now sits in the main conference room of the Danos headquarters.

This cherry tree was removed from False River, LA. It was removed due to being located very close to the home.

The elm slab was cut from a storm fell tree in Norwood, LA. The tree fell in a cemetery dated back to the early 1800’s and was supposedly once registered as the largest elm tree in the state of LA until Hurricane Gustav blew it down.

The top is made of two, 22″ wide sinker cypress planks measuring 2″ thick. The base is a combination of steel and solid sinker cypress. The stretcher is made up of “scrap” pieces of sinker cypress.

This tree was removed from the New Roads area near Baton Rouge, LA. It was taken down on the site of a new home being built.

The LSU Live Oak table was created for the Carbo Landscape Architecture Recruitment Center located at the LSU Design Building. Working closely with Gensler, this table was designed and built to fit the obscure shape of the room. The massive, 1000-lb solid live oak top sits on a rolled steel base.

Made from slabs that were cut from a historic Louisiana live oak tree removed in front of Alex Box Stadium on LSU’s campus.

32”-76” W x 13’L x 30”H

Created for the Carbo Landscape Architecture Recruitment Center located at the LSU Design Building, this reception counter was made from a live oak slab which was cut from a tree removed from Alex Box Stadium on LSU’s campus. Working closely with Gensler, we designed the counter and the custom rolled steel base to compliment the entrance way to the space.

Ebonized red oak slab with a waterfall leg and 3/4" thick acrylic. The waterfall leg features sliding dovetails to ensure a long lasting joint. The slab has been stitched with butterflies. A home brewed iron oxide solution was used to react with the tannic acid naturally found in red oak. The black finish is not a stain, but a chemical reaction that occurs within the wood itself once the solution is applied. It measures 41" W on the large end, 28”W on the narrow end, with a 57" long top and stands at 18” tall.

36” Diameter spalted pecan coffee table featuring an elevated top and spalted pecan base. The top is cut from a single slab of pecan. 36” round x 17 1/2” tall.

Locally salvaged, live edge sycamore slabs were used to make this bar height dining table for a residential client in Metairie, LA. The base is steel with a turned sycamore wood detail added at the cross member of the “A” frame base.

34”W x 109”L x 42”H

A 4” thick red oak burl slab salvaged from Baton Rouge, LA, mixed with 1” thick acrylic for the base giving this piece a modern yet organic feel. This slab has one of the most amazing live edges.
